Our Mission: The Friends of the Del Webb Library at Indian Land is a non-profit, non-political, volunteer service organization formed to promote and support the literary, educational, and community roles of the Library.
As a branch of the Lancaster County Library, with limited funds, increasing costs and the desire to expand its services, the Del Webb Library at Indian Land needs community support. Join us! The Friends of the Library need you.
Communications and Special Projects Committee
Committee members must be members of the Friends.
Communications maintains the Friends web site: www.dwfriends.org, Facebook page (Friends of the Del Webb Library), Constant Contact communications with members and coordinates information distributed by the Publicity subcommittee including, but not limited to information and photographs for on-line and hard copy publications.
Special Projects is responsible for overseeing and advising on the organization's fund-raising activities to raise funds that go to buy books and unfunded items for the library which includes fund-raising programs and recruiting volunteers and solicitors for the organization's fund-raising campaigns. These may include: Annual, capital, and endowment campaigns which may be broken into at least five divisions: Major corporate and business gifts; Smaller corporate and business gifts; Foundations; Major individual gifts; Smaller individual gifts.
